behind that, in ohio and just into west virginia, western west virginia, just west of the mountains, there is a cool front. it reaches down into tennessee. the rain is much more vigorous down in tennessee, mississippi, and alabama than it is this far north. when the front comes through, you have to make changes. that's all right. if we get out of the 90's and only be in the 70's or 80's over the weekend, that will be a step in the right direction anyway. let's look at the current readings outside. it is warm this for this time of year. humidity still up in. 66%. 29.87 the pair metric fresh. that's low. it has been showing a falling tendency for the past couple hours. that front still is west of us and moving in. southwest wind at 3 miles per hour. litter winds become more westerly and will help drop humidity a bit and hold temperatures down. i mentioned rainfall. we had less than an inch of rain, and we have a deficit of 2 1/4 inches. there is significant rain in the forecasts, but not for the weekend. we're getting a bit of the best of both worlds here. camebridge 77. salisbury 73.

we can see rain coming up in virginia. a lot of this leading edge of precipitation is not hitting the ground just yet. the air is pretty dry. so i think we'll get through a bulk of the morning ok. but if you're going to the game this afternoon, you might run into a couple of rain showers. it's not going to be heavy rain but still some rain showers later today. all this being triggered by a stalled front to the south. we've got warm air riding up over the top of this front and there's some cool air trying to work its way in and those two things combined usually produce some rain showers. that will be the case today. so mostly cloudy skies, the chance for a few rain showers later this morning and this afternoon. the high temperatures between 71 and 76. if you're going to the game, we'll say a chance for rain showers. i don't think it's going to be raining the whole game but certainly some rain is possible at one point or another so plan on that. the temperature about 72 degrees downtown at 1:00. overnight tonight, mostly clo

we are tracking the beltway in virginia. looks like that we are dealing with a little bit of flooding on the off and on ramps. so you want to take it easy approaching those or coming off of them and still quiet on 395 making your way from the beltway to the 14th street bridge. andrea, over to you. >>> in ornews this morning, one person is dead after a charter bus filled with parents and children overturned under the northbound sky ramp on to the i- 270 spur. it happened yesterday, just after 4:00 in the afternoon along northbound 270 between rock ledge and montross road. police say the bus went off the side of the flyover ramp and landed 45 feet below. the driver, 66-year-old joseph a claybaugh died at the scene. the children on the bus were from carlisle, pennsylvania and were heading home from a trip to the national zoo when the accident happened. 11 passengers were hospitalized. the exact cause of the crash is under investigation. >>> a rash of home and car break ins in fairfax county have police looking for a serial burg
